Skin Products
I was about to buy these off Ebay but I decided to pay full price. A note on the Jan Marini web site said all Ebay sellers were unauthorized distributors. I got scared so I'm just going to stop by Gentle Star MedSpa tomorrow and pick up these items. I could have saved $50 but I'm not going to risk getting counterfeit, diluted product.
But the good news is, I had $80 in credit card rewards so I'm only going to spend $20 out of pocket.
I paid: $20 ($80 offset by credit card rewards)
Original price: $100.

spring wedding dress
I bought this for a good friend's wedding in April. It's not too blingy right? I don't want to look like I'm trying to compete for attention... I fill out the top better than the model does but my hips are wider. I'll have to ask some people if it makes me look too wide.
I paid: $69.99
Original price: $259.99

Mugler!
In the last SoCal box, I also got a Thierry Mugler blazer that fits me really well. It flares a bit around the hip, kind of like a riding coat. It's really dramatic though so I have to wait for the appropriate time/occasion to wear it.
I also got a pair of Mugler slacks. They're a bit snug in the waist but it fits everywhere else. I think the pants and the blazer are supposed to go together but I plan to wear them as separates.

free clothes!
A family friend in SoCal likes to go thrifting. She sends us a box of goodies every few months and I usually luck out and find 3-5 item that fit me in each box. Here's the set from one of these boxes. The clothes are technically not free, I think each item is $1-$5 each but my mom pays for it so it's free to me!
I'm not so sure about this blazer but maybe it will come in handy one of these days.
The next item is something that I can't wear. But it's hilarious, so I'm keeping it in my closet. I christened it my "caliente pants."

Sunday Brunch with the Family
This past weekend was my father's birthday so we went out for brunch. The night before, I went with my sister to the greatest place on Earth, Target. There, I found two new things to buy, one adorable and another that I'm kind of meh about (after I cut off the tag, boo!).
I heart this dress! I wore it to brunch and had already put it in my laundry basket before I took the picture, hence the wrinkles. The dress is from Isaac Mizrahi's line for Target.
I also bought this black slouchy thing since I can't find a black cardigan or blazer that I like. I'm kind of regretting the purchase now, it's too slouchy and floppy. Maybe I need to pair it with a big belt for more structure.
I paid: $18.96
Original cost: $57.98
