After Nancy Drew, I moved on to Sherlock Holmes. A book containing all the Holmes stories came in just a single (thick) book so that "collection" was easy to acquire. When I was done with Holmes, I moved on to Poirot/Marple/Beresford/Pyne/Quin/Oliver.
Agatha Christie was so prolific! I started reading her stories in high school so I just borrowed books from the library. My teenage money was better spent on movie tickets, junk food and low-rise jeans. The great thing about these books is that there's so many of them, it's hard to remember how each story ends. It's like reading a new book each time.
And so I started buying the books. I'm only 13 books short of completing my collection! I usually buy from Moe's Books in Berkeley. I love that place. Here's my almost complete collection. I don't know how much it has cost over the years.
Here are the latest additions to the collection. I bought these full price at Border's. I have more coming in from half.com. It's kind of hard to find one seller that has all the books I'm missing.
I paid: $13.98 (for just the two books)
Original cost: $13.98
